Description:
In December 2010 I was banned from the UHC servers for one week. This happened after I added a UHC admin to ask for help in getting back a searing snaggle that was scammed from me. I added the admin, Cloudy, assuming that he would persuade the scammer to return the unusual to me but instead Cloudy took the scammer's side. It became quite clear to me that Cloudy was protecting the second scammer for an unknown reason. The first thought that came to my mind was that it was because they were friends. This notion was reinforced when in response to my pleas for help Cloudy said "Meat got it fair and square", "He's not getting banned", "Its your fault if you get scammed" and "He broke no rules". The most damning evidence was when I asked Cloudy "so scamming someone isn't against the rules?" and he responded "No its not actually".

I was clearly upset with the scammer and told the admin that I would sue the scammer if I could. I also pushed the issue with Cloudy by continuing to plead for help. In response Cloudy advised the scammer to take a max head from me in exchange for the snaggle and then had John ban me for a week after the transaction. Cloudy's argument was that I was disrespectful and threatening to him. This is clearly false if you take a look at the screenshots. The only person that I threatening towards was the scammer and only with a lawsuit which is a reasonable course of action when theft is involved. If I had said I was going to kill the scammer then I can totally understand the response but I was being very reasonable. I was going to take the legal course of action. For some reason, probably because the scammer a friend of Cloudy's, he found my response to be very offensive and told John that I was threatening him rather than the scammer. This lead to my one week ban and to a caution tag that was just removed from steamrep.

My complaint is that Cloudy had total disregard for doing the right thing as an admin because his friend was involved. He advised his friend, the scammer, to take a max head from me in exchange for my scammed snaggle and then facilitated the transaction. He then engaged in a cover up by giving John false information so that once I actually got a hold of John I was immediately dismissed because John had already heard the false story from Cloudy and he had no reason to trust me over Cloudy. Cloudy not only abused his admin power but assisted a scammer in selling back my searing snaggle to me for a max head. He argued that this was the right to thing to do since the scammer should not have to give it back to me. Therefore, he not only agreed with the scammers right to keep the snaggle but also helped the scammer turn a profit by helping him get rid of the unusual, which was by then known to have been scammed, for a promotional item that could easily be sold. The bottom line is that Cloudy abused his admin power by arguing on behalf of a scammer friend's right to keep a scammed unusual, by negotiating with me on the scammers behalf for a max head and then assisting in the transaction, and by covering up the evidence by having me banned and tagged.

Omg I already explained my story on your tag appeal, you have got to be kidding me.

When I said "He wasnt getting banned" I was refering to getting banned from steam entirelly, he was infact marked as a scammer and banned after our conversation. Also I didn't "Side with the scammer" I was defending him from the inappropriate accusations you were directing towards him, he had fenced goods he DIDNT ACTUALLY SCAM YOU SIMPLY HAD YOUR SCAMMED HAT. You were threatening to sue him and "make him pay" by finding his personal information and doing who knows what. If you were making these threats towards the actual person who scammed you I would have reacted much differently. My friends list is constantly full, I was not 'friends' with Meat Twizzler. It was a week ban, deal with it.

Edit: Also the "Banning/tagging you to cover it up," what? it was a week ban, you had FULL access to the forums/servers after the one week period.

Scammers getting scammed seems pretty fair to me.

I would also like to add: I never assisted in the transaction of the max head, no where in the chat do I force him to do so, or make reference to it.
