Description:
I was on an unusual server looking to buy my first unusual. I asked if anyone was selling an unusual hat for the demoman and this person traded me. He put up a steaming rimmed raincatcher. I went to go search how much the hat costs on places like tf2outpost and he was very impatient. I couldn't find anyone who previously sold or bought that hat so I offered 1 bud and 10 keyes and he seemed fine with that offer. I then saw in the server chat typing "!bp xindx" to view my backpack and then asked for more for a total of 2 buds worth since he saw that I had more to pay. I put up 1 bud, 15 keys, 2 craft hats, and one strange part and accepted the trade.
1 day later...
I found out from other experienced unusual traders that the hat is only worth about 1 to 1.5 buds since it's only a steaming effect so thats when I felt scammed. I then looked up on tf2items.com to view the history of it and contacted the previous owner. It turned out the original uncrater of the hat was scammed by the same person who sold it to me and sold it for a normal big earner for spy (he didn't know the value).

I need more information in order to ban him, chatlogs aren't enough. Screenshots would be great!

There's no way for me to provide screenshots from the day that happened because I didn't know i was being scammed at the time.

Could you please provide screenshots of your trade history for that date? Also, click on the person's profile in your inventory history and take a screenshot of their Steam profile, please!

I still find stupid to ban him because you didn't correctly evaluated the hat value. IMO. Who's the original owner of it? Maybe he have more proof than a simple misevaluation of the value of an hat?

What your describing is sharking. Steamrep doesnt tag for that currently , however UTC has recently implemented a sharking report section located here: http://unusualtradingcommunity.com/viewforum.php?f=46
You can always get him banned from their, and their is the posibilty(no guarentees) of him recieveing a Caution Tag on steam rep. Make sure to get in touch with the original owner and get proof(Trade history and chat logs from the original owner) Before posting.
