What happened? Description:

User added me, claiming to be a 'big' youtuber with 200k + subscribers. They say their english is bad so there is a little difficulty with understanding. I ask to link their channel and they say 'look my newest video' and they commented 'Apollo_M1K3 friend' (comment removed directly after so no screenshot was taken) User asks to borrow skins to record a video, I explain I can record a demo or drop them in-game but there was a mis-understanding with chat. I make an excuse to go offline to check if they're legitimate and to contact me on Twitter (the twitter linked to their youtube) which they do contact me on twitter so I don't know whats happening just they're trying to steal my items when i offer to record demo/workarounds.​

Yeah, my bad. I went outside of Steam to to verify if was the actual youtuber was linked to the said channel and twitter account from the person who had contacted me, which they did. I don't think the big YouTuber was being impersonated, rather they had tried to scam my items as using the 'I'm big youtuber you can trust me' method. Telling me to send my items for 10minutes rather than me sending a demo file or dropping the skins in-game for his showcase (I still don't understand what they were wanting me to do other than wanting my skins) denying my way and saying his 'subscribers wont think its legit' or something. Once again I do apologize if I've done anything wrong, first time making my own post to SteamRep.

I said I don't think they were being inpersonated, it was the same person.

Yeah, attempted scam attempt when they wanted my skins for a video which 'I can trust them' but when I said i could drop them or record a demo and they said they cant do that and need the actual skins
