It was an attempted scam and I thought i should probably be a good samaritan and report this guy. Now, i dont know whether what he said was true or false. Its upto you guys. I did what i had to do. Thanks for the info. A SR Admin will investigate this as soon as possible. Also, if you friend is telling the truth, I would recommend he send in a support ticket to valve. Have him take a screenshot of it and post it here to note a potential hijacking.
