FML, I sold him 40 buds.

Today that person bought 4 Earbuds for $128 on PayPal from me. Later on he charged them back on PayPal.

guys, never give up a fight in chargebacks. I just hate looking at these abuse cases everytime it happens.

yes, there's always stories of how PayPal doesn't care about fighting for your rights but in this case, you guys have done nothing wrong.

Some kid chargebacked on me awhile ago and I threatened to report him here and he withdrew it immediately. But I did call up PayPal and they said they would still re-imburse me if the chargeback wasn't withdrawn. This is probably because he had used PayPal balance to pay instead of a credit card, hence PP had control in the situation.

The worst part about using PP has always been the source of funding. There was a time when sellers were able to block buyers from using CC to pay but PP removed this feature and left a really huge gap for more fraud to occur (I suspect this is an agreement with Visa/Mastercard to encourage more sales in the long run). In this case, I'm assuming this kid has used a CC to fund it and not from a bank acc.

I have spoken to PayPal for an hour before on CC chargebacks and it does take months to resolve, but remember, buyer fraud is a big offence and lying to the CC company about not being the person who authorized the payment is just as bad as a seller not sending goods at all. Again, this all boils down to CC tolerance rate and acceptability of proof. If this kid can be located stateside, then all the better for someone near his vicinity to nail him down.

To the guy who sold 40 buds, I hope you had done a lot of checks before selling that many of an amount, like grabbing his address, getting him to send you an email confirmation, confirming his mobile number, ip log him or the best part, recording a voice chat on this deal (I've worked in CC before and recorded voice chat is the best evidence as we use this to protect ourselves when dealing in customer service.)

A huge chargeback occurred about 2 days ago. PayPal checked the IPs where the purchases were made from and deemed the chargeback invalid. Maybe something similar can be done.

This user was clearly hijacked. Can we please do some research before blackballing a trader and putting his private information all over the place? Jesus.

I spoke with him he is claiming he was hijacked told him to come here with proof that his account was hijacked. Like a steam support ticket to defend his case.
