I couldn't get his steamrep info from his steamrep profile due to the site being down, so I'll update it when I can.

Description: He added me as a trade. All OK to this point. We negotiated and didn't reach a point, so we didn't do any trades. Today, I asked him if he could buy an ebenezer of a friend for 3 Keys and then I would buy it of him for the same price. I would do this because me and my friend don't trade ( he's doesn't want to make profitable deals with me / his other friends ) and he agreed. But later, seeing my items, he decided to make up a "Scam Plan". It's obvious that he tried to scam, see the pics. He said he would make a deal with me( the one we didn't manage to do after the negotiations) and then he would trade the ebenezer and give it to me for free. I am not sure if this is considered a scam attempt but I thought that I should give it a shot to see if I can get him learn something from his acts.

That is Not a Scamming Process, It Is Called an UPGRADE

Perhaps a middleman could have been suggested in the trade by either party, if trust was the issue.

@FruitySnacks: A middleman would be a splendid idea, but it wouldn't be that easy with steamrep being down. Also, it was him that would be "risking" losing 4 keys and instead of asking for a middleman, he came up with a lame scam attempt plan.

Lets get a few things clear:

1. OP, your deal sounds extremely shady
2. You can't mark someone for giving you a bad deal
3. Polartop, I find it funny how you come here, yet you scammed Aqua out of 4 keys. We discussed this on my forums already.
4. No items were lost, you never knew his intentions

Aquafire is a regular on AF2 and I've never seen him pull anything like this.

I know that no items were lost, but I consider this a scam attempt, something that can tag a "scammer" or "caution" tag.
I don't see how it is shady, I think you do have people that you wouldn't do deals with.

First, let me apologize for SteamRep being down temporarily (all issues should be fixed now!). Second, thank you for the report- you are ALWAYS welcome to report any suspicious activity because you never know when this information may come in handy.

However, there is not enough evidence here that the guy was trying to scam. While the offer was a little strange, it wasn't outside of the parameters of an offer. Therefore I will mark this as rejected. But thanks again for the report! Also thanks to Ace for the helpful summary.
