    Scam Report

Report Type: [Item Fraud] Misrepresenting virtual items
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198056114503

    Victim profile: 76561198004108026

    What happened? Description:
He wanted to trade my Cyrex FN for an Autographed Dota 2 item.

I already had the feeling this was a scam attempt, I wouldn't care about losing an AK redline for the sake of investigation and getting him red handed.

I bypassed the steam scam report warning.

2 steam users have listed it for €100,- and up.

However the item was sold for €2,- on nov 3rd and nov 5th.

I obviously don't have extensive knowledge on scams and what is and isn't classed as a scam, but I can't see how this is one. From the chat logs he never claimed it to be anything that is it not and you were aware of what he was offering for your items. He didn't name it "Karambit | Fade" or anything silly like that so in my eyes this wouldn't be fraud. But hey, I'm not an admin.
If you can put me on the right track that would be awesome.

Sorry, I always have a hard time explaining things.

Basically scammers buy items that are rarely seen on the market. They list the item for a high price, no-one will buy them and the API 3rd party steam trade website uses, uses the cheapest price currently on the market. NOT the currently last sold price.

I hope i explained it better.
