What happened? Description:

The user added me to buy a Modest Pile of Hat. I opened a trade window with him and saw the "some users have reported this person for attempted trade scams" and thought nothing of it due to the many false positives. He did not have enough metal, so I closed the trade.
Then he offered "Steam codes," which turned out to be a $20 wallet code after I asked him to clarify. He told me he'd send me 2/3 of it, then I give him my item, then get the rest of the code.​

Chat and friends list showing that he blocked and deleted me. (Mismatching online status, still on my friends list.)
