What happened? Description:

Okay, this person approached me with an offer of £80 on my unusual (my unusual is Searing Conjurer's Cowl), at first I was incredibly weary of this person. He then said that he was reputable and started going on about his profile reputation and at the time I had not realised that you couldn't comment on his profile. I also didn't know about steamrep at the time either. Well after a chat and himself trying to prove he was legit I accepted his offer. He said that the person with the least reputation goes first. Well that was me but I'm guessing almost all of is reputation was bribed. So we went into the trade and I put my item up and then he ticked the check and I followed. I asked him 'Will you send the money as soon as you received the item?' and he said 'yes' and then sent a picture of him ready to send the money of £80 billed to my father's email/paypal account. So I accepted and he received the item. So I said 'can you stay until the money has come through' and he replied with yes. So after about 5 mins I still had received no money through paypal so I ask him 'How long does it usually take' and I get no reply, then I send a few more messages and still reply. Then he privates his profile and changes his steam ID from asdaqwesx to Naaarn and then also changes his picture. During his trade his steam name (not the profile one) was called WHERE'S CHUCK?' and he had a picture of a pink face. Currently his name is 'Bob Jones' which his changed his name to shortly after the scam.

This is a day after the scam has took place and he's un-privated his profile and inventory and you can clearly see my unusual (Searing Conjurer's Cowl, check my backpack.tf historical data for proof) you can see my unusual Searing Cowl is now in his backpack. Currently this is where I am at. I'm going to be contacting valve in hope to get my item back. I have recorded a video (incredibly sorry for background noise and camera quality) it shows me sending the item and the paypal picture, and also him saying that he will send money as soon has he has received. Unfortunately none of the older messages load anymore and there is only 3 messages of me asking for a response. Like I said, there's the video I mentioned covering the in-trade chat and paypal message he sent me. You'll also notice the same person I am reporting has two other pending reports which is even more evidence that this person is infact a scammer.

Thanks for your time. Hopefully this scammer gets what he deserves. (the video inked will be a private youtube video and it's in it's raw format. You'll notice in the video I thought his reputation was legitimate.) NOTE: As I am finishing writing this, my unusual is no longer in his backpack. Also, chat is on mobile steam as my PC steam does not have it logged anymore. I also apologize if there is duplicate images in my proof. Thanks for reading, and please the scammer if you're reading this, don't even try and deny it was you because it's pointless. Make sure to look at ALL of my proof.
