That middleman was a obvious fake. He gave you the link to a different person and the fake middleman most likely invited you to trade short time after that.

To prevent this you should always
    • Check if the middleman is really steamrep approved or got any REAL reputation (Not faked steam reputation) on known trading pages
    • Check if you are really trading with the middleman you want to use. If you get invited to a trade and accept it always click on the picture of the middleman and run exactly that profile through the steamrep search engine to see who you are trading with
    • Do a little "background" check on the middleman (if not steamrep approved) by either putting his steamid64 (76561198011227701 on your fake middleman) into google or look into the +rep comments in his steam profile. Most scammers got only +rep from private or almost empty profiles, only a few "legit" profiles in there.

The problem is, i checked his STEAMREP profile and it was all good and it said it was a Middleman trustable, and when we traded, sudendly, i checked his profile again and he had reports! Wierd.

Also, checking the scammer profile (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198070111421) and after checking some other +reps in his profile, the other users are real accounts. Atleast, it seems too. He also did +rep on others profile too.

I already told you: You haven't been trading with the middleman you checked on steamrep. It was a different person faking his avatar and his profile in general.
That's exactly why you should click on the profile which is in the trade window and put the id into the steamrep search engine once more before accepting any trades.

Then he was probably trading some 5€ skins on csgolounge and begged all for +rep comments. That's why you should never trust reputation in the steam comment section.

Yeah man, but the problem is, i copied the URL of the fake middleman and he showed me this profile ( http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198020525488 ) wich is wierd, and this guy is a true middleman from STEAMREP. Maybe i clicked something wrong? I don't really remember since it was late... Next time, i'll record the scam if i remember... also, it was 00:00p.m. and i was already kinda sleepy, didn't though of it. Anyways, thanks for the help, but i seem to not to be the only guy who got the same problem ( http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/...-counter-strike-global-offensive-items.74797/ ) this guy got scammed (maybe) the same way as me by this guy. Also, the other guy keeps on switching names, but i have his URL saved. Hope he gets banned, and to me... well... i lost 9Euro and a nice skin :(

I made this for you to explain it.. He sent you the real middleman... but the real middleman didn't invite you to trade, it was the fake.
