What happened? Description:

This guy added me out of the blue and wanted to trade for an item. He was really pushy on trying to prove that he was legit and wanted to convince me that he was a trustworthy person on a csgo trading group on Facebook called "Global Trading." I didn't want to do to FaceBook or reveal any personal info so opted out. He wanted to pay via Paypal/Bank Transfer and said he can't buy stuff on the market because of a "steam market block" and can't use CS.MONEY or BitSkins in his country or some weird reason. Eventually, he went on to say that he wanted $500 dollars in items but wanted to overpay me over $100 for my knife fn st 99% fade, ak bloodsport fn st, and p250 asiimov mw st which is already sketchy. He also is just a sketchy dude in general because he inspect elements his steam marketplace screenshots with bad grammar which official Valve alerts would never use, claims to have traded high tier items like gloves and dragon lore but his csgobackpack inventory value history had never gone above $100, and also claims to own a twitch channel that gives hundreds of dollars of skins away but the channel he claims to own is relatively small. In addition, he can't seem to verify any source of funding for the BTC that he claims to have and when I looked up the address he eventually gave me, it has been inactive for 2 years, has no funds in it, and looks like he just copied the address from a Youtube video and didn't actually control that BTC wallet address. Finally, I found a profile repeatedly commenting that he was a scammer and -rep him but a few days later all/most negative comments were gone. He hasn't taken any items from me, but his sketchy behavior and weird story prompted me to report him since he is offering the same thing as the last guy I reported and got that guy trade banned. He (Apex) is offering me to send half of my skins (knife) first then he'll send the BTC, then I'll send the rest of the skins (p250 and ak) which is super sketchy.​

The user has shown sketchy behavior like using inspect element to fake screenshots to try to gain my trust among other things like refusing to use escrow sites that are reputable like bitskins/cs.money. Also, his method of trading (I send half of the offered skins, my knife, then he'll send the payment, then I'll send the rest) is very suspicious and mirrors what the last guy I reported to SteamRep tried to get me to do. Also, he is unable to verify any source of BTC, and the wallet he sent to prove he actually has the BTC to pay for the skins seems to not belong to him as it has been inactive for 2 years, is empty of any BTC, and appears to be an example address found in a Youtube video. Due to all of these factors, I think he is trying to scam me out of my skins (also he deletes negative comments from a user on his profile that said he was a scammer which also adds to the suspicion).
