    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198072838356

    Victim profile: 76561198023590148

    What happened? Description:
We reached a mutual agreement that he will pay me 340 USD on paypal for my knife. I was skeptical at first because a cash deal is always a bit sketchy. He claimed that he had a lot of rep, was owner of a few servers and stuff. It was my fault for believing that which led to the agreement that I would trade my knife then he will give me the money. I also demanded a few items of his to 'safekeep' until after the transaction. Here's an image of the 'safekeeping' in exchange for my knife. http://puu.sh/knXr8/cbd5f7b9a2.png (its the same one I uploaded down below)
After that, he claimed that paypal wasnt working, was 'rejecting his transaction'. I took this opportunity to check his inventory and saw that it was private. I mentioned this and he removed me.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to grab the chat log cause i was using the steam chat web which is a dumb mistake and is a lack of evidence. Personally, I don't even care about my item being stolen. He has had a previous report of him scamming another person and I just want him to be labelled and the community to be wary of.
UPDATE: He has displayed my knife on his profile and blocked me.
UPDATE 2: His profile is now private.

Here's a group of where he is admin of: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/-LPT--

It would be great if someone can approach him about this and investigate.
He won't add me back after the trade, isn't that a cause for suspicion?

    Provide Evidence:
I know I have a lack of evidence but take a look.
I managed to grab his profile after the trade, where he displayed my knife. View attachment 327019
I also attached a picture of the 'safekeeping' in exchange for my knife. View attachment 327018

Please upload your evidence as uncropped screenshots, showing your entire screen, without any edits, i.e. highlights/boxes/indicator marks.

Please try your best to find a screenshot of the chat you had with the user.

Thanks - this user is already banned/tagged - nothing more we can do to them.
Should you come across a user like this again upon checking them when you accept as friends, its best to just report them to Valve, delete and move on.
Due to the amount of offenses already listed on this users profile, we won't be listing any thing more.
Report will be archived for future reference.
Again you can always report the user to Valve
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile

    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
