    What happened? Description:
    This guy along with two other accounts stole my case hardened skeleton knife using a middle man scam. Attached is my chat log with him. Also affiliated scammer accounts are listed below.

    Thank you I may have gotten scammed out of a $600 knife but hopefully this report will help others not get scammed.​

    Need Full SR profile blocks for each user involved not custom URL's.
    Also your chat logs have no dates on them - need chat logs with dates.

    The fact that all these accounts have been active and more than likely scamming people for more than 10 shows that steam need a better anti theft system.

    So if I get this right you are assuming these users would have scammed you because of who one wanted to use as a middle man and you didn't or don't trust them? IS this the situation?
    You didn't detail it enough but I'm going off what I've seen so far. Just clarify pls.

    They took my knife if have i have proof.

    Portgas (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198073155958) was acting as the middleman and Syntax(https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199214272154) was acting as the buyer. After I traded him the knife he was suppose to pay me for the knife. Instead he kept making excuses about having me send $3,0000 because that's the minimum het could send via Paypal.

    Also please review the users in the reddit thread because the middlemen in this reddit tread seem to rotate on a weekly basis which all are presumed scammers.

    Ok had to clear that up - take new screenshots - two in fact - one of your trade inventory history showing the trade in question thru steam client make sure client URL is enabled.
    Another thru a web browser logged in - mouse over over users name so it shows up their steam URL at the bottom of the screen.

    Also show the screenshot of the chat where you gave the user any paypal information.

    This image - I made two arrows showing the break in the wording cut off above it and to the side if you zoom in you can see a blackened area from where a cut/paste of another window was made and then put into this image.
    It is plain as day - so here is what I'm going to have to require to continue. You are showing chat logs from CHAT thru a browser not steam client, at this time seeing this I can't accept it. I'll need steam client screenshots full screen and not mobile either same situation. Seeing what is clearly showing as I marked it has red flags all over it and you just can't trust what is coming in.

    If we can't review this I'm sorry but this is a flat out judgement call with regards to the evidence first and foremost...just can't trust it seeing that as it is showing.

    That was me sending syntax a screenshot image in chat that I sent Portages a trade and it was completed.

    Attached screen shots show the image selected in chat and the second image is the chat highlighted and if you zoom in on the highlighted space you can see that the indicators that you posted are from my won screenshot that i sent him in the chat.

    So the issue I'm seeing to start with is you reported the wrong user - you should have reported the FIRST User you were involved with not a suspected middleman you were told to use.
    Is this the user you were FIRST in contact with? Just confirming.

    They are both involved an more than likely the same person. There is no way to report two people at once.

    If you go to Syntax users profile he lists | steamname: SLYTHERIN as his main profile so i just wanted to proactively add him to the list.

    You always report the FIRST user you were involved with then reference the others in the report - this is why this is taking so long since I'm having to reorganize.
