What happened? Description:

I was asked by the scammer to trade the unusual item to a friend I could trust so that he could check the item could be traded safely. I thought it was odd but it couldn't hurt. I gave my friend the unusual and everything was fine. Then, (without us realising at the time) he duplicated my account. He told my friend (whilst pretending to be me) to trade the unusual back to me/him. My friend assumed it was me and opened a trade. He was sitting next to me and said "here you go". I was confused and said: "what?". He said "you traded me, here's the unusual". I said "I didn't trade you. Don't click make trade, just exit the trade and I'll send a request. (I wasn't sure what was happening but I thought it wasn't safe for him to trade it). He said "no, you traded me. here" and clicked make trade. Oh why didn't he listen to me... Then we realised there were to accounts of me and then there were two accounts of my friend and the fake account of my friend continued to try scam me but I had already realised it was a scam. After that I just kept playing along and stalling so they wouldn't like try and escape or anything. Luckily I found that I could use my outpost trade (which was still active) to track down who owns the hat. His name is:
