Reporting for Falsified & Fabricated Offer of his high-tier item, blackmail/coercion by using threat of SteamRep report

This user intentionally lied about the offers on their unusual to coerce me into a trade I had already declined (Saying he had a 16 bud offer on his Secret Attendant when in fact there was NO SUCH OFFER). Among other things. Here is the story from start to finish, hope I didn't leave anything important out.




Originally, I talked to FavoriteLlama about my Circling Heart Virtual Viewfinder in TF2-Traders unusual server.
We talked for a long time in trade, during which he offered the following:
Burning Tavish Crown, Burning Pyromancer's Mask, Secret to Everybody Attendant 3:1 on my Viewfinder. All clean

* This is only a portion of that conversation, to establish original propositions. Not imperative to the incident I am about to describe, just some supporting information. *

I told him I was potentially interested in the 3:1, but he ended up changing his offer, drastically reducing it by taking the Crown out of the picture and leaving just the Pyromancer + Attendant. That's his choice to do, but we ended up not coming to an agreement, and I closed the trade because I was a bit offended.

Soon after that, he added me, and stated that he would add 2 buds onto the pyromancer + attendant offer. This was still below his original 3:1 offer, and I simply declined. He removed me after getting angry.
But the next day, he added me again with the same offer, only this time...

He informed me that he had just been offered 16 pure buds for his Secret Attendant, but withheld the person's name. I told him that if his claim was true and the offer legitimate, I would accept his offer that I had declined the day before. (earbuds + Secret Attendant + Burning Pyromancer)

At this point he tried to establish that I would trade immediately if he provided me with proof of who made the 16 bud offer on his Secret Attendant. I said sure, as you can see in the screenshots. He then linked me to a person's backpack -- http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198078243708 -- but they were Offline.


I told Llama I would have to wait til he got online to confirm this supposed offer.
He then started freaking out, claiming that I broke our agreement and that I MUST follow through with the agreed deal immediately (10-15 minutes) or else he would submit a report here at SteamRep for breaching an agreement.

I saw this eagerness to trade as very suspect, and saw that on FavoriteLlama's Outpost ad, this same person had offered a week prior, not on the Attendant but on the Burning Pyromancer ( for 13 buds, which was his and highest pure offer, hard to forget that... http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19219758 )

He was trying to pressure me into trading immediately instead of waiting for the guy to come online, which made me real suspicious of his claim of a 16 bud offer. I waited til the person Llama linked me to came online, talked to them, and sure enough they hadn't offered anything on the Secret Attendant, screenshots also attached of that conversation.

It seems blatantly obvious what his intentions were, as you can see by reading through the screenshots --
to trick me into believing he had a large pure offer on one of his hats so that we would trade before I could find out he was lying, at which point it would be too late for me.

I have transcripts of all conversations with Llama, from our first trade chat, to the first and 2nd times he added me, as well as him trying to excuse and weasel out of his falsified statement of having a 16 bud offer, after I showed him proof that he had intentionally lied to me about it. He thinks that since he worded it a certain way that he wasn't Actually claiming he was offered it, just assumed wrong somehow. Yeah right!


After all this went down, I gave him an ultimatum -- I would need his original offer involving his three hats to rectify this situation that he had created.

I'm sure he will come here and try to excuse and talk his way out of this, but it doesn't change one fact:
He obviously and intentionally fabricated a fake offer on one of his high-tier items in order to manipulate me into giving him a deal he desperately wanted.

On a side note...
I am told that he recently bought a Hijacked Scorching Killer Exclusive from a compromised account which had also added other people trying to sell it for the amazing (and suspicious) price of 25 buds -- at least 1/2 off. Wonder why he didn't list it for sale on outpost? But I won't go into that without further proofs.

He was inflating the value of his hat to compensate for the value of yours. That is not a scam

He took this out of context. I was offering the BoA because I was going to take the 16 pure I thought I was going to get. The guy who added me and had the 16 pure, I have never discussed to, I guess due to being in different timezones. I saw he just collected 16 pure that day, I had specific prices on my outpost, so I assumed that he was going to buy it for 16. When I told him I had an offer of 16, it was more meant to be a reason of why I am offering my BoA rather than an incentive to take my hat. The part where I "blackmailed him" is very ironic. This guy has been wasting my time for serveral days, and I was fed up with it. I wanted him to agree that he would trade if I linked him the guy (who as far as I knew, was going for the attendant) because I HATE IT when people use my offers to discuss and get higher offers from other people. I knew he was trying to wait until morning to be able to discuss with bubber ducky.

He also left out our discussions from the days previously. He lied about an offer of a Clean Burning Tyrant + Ghosts Bonk + 7 Pure + 3 buds in hats. When I asked him to supply a link to the guy who had it (for evidence) he refused to provide one. Im sure he has the screenshot of this convo because as you can see he said he did take screenshots of our convos previously.

I declined his 3:1 offer, (which he is still very fond about me offering, but I retracted that offer when I found that the view was 1 of 2.

Then he replied with this, telling me I made the wrong decision to decline, and proceeded to call me a scammer.

I see that I did say I had that offer, but in context, that is not at all how I meant it. This guy is leaving out pictures of him doing the same things I supposedly did. Why would I risk getting banned, especially after he told me he has already been screenshotting all of our convos, just so I could save 2 buds on his hat.

If he really wants to complain about me saying a secret attendant was 16 buds, which I still believe it can easily fetch, then that is crazy. This report is over such a minimal thing based on his frustrations of constant arguments. I don't think there was a time when we were on each other's friends list and weren't arguing.

I'd be glad to explain even further if any admin has questions.

Couldn't seem to find the edit button, but as seen in this trade offer, I tell him, I am mainly interested in trading the BoA after I have gotten the add from the guy with the pure. When I told him that I got the offer of 16 pure in the chat, it was explaining why I rather trade the BoA.

I would just like to say, nothing is taken out of context. I have shown the entire conversation in order to document a simple truth: he lied intentionally about having a 16 bud offer in order to manipulate me into a trade I would normally not do. Falsifying an offer is not sharking, it is an attempt to scam.

I'd love for you to post the chatlogs of me asking for your Tyrant offer and you not supplying it. I have already explained the situation, but you have yet to confront why you tried to "blackmail" me as well, even though you reported me for it.

Don't even try to say you don't have the pictures, in the chatlogs above, you said you had taken screenshots from the day previously.
