What happened? Description:

My friend Justeeen biererber was added by someone claiming to be an "Undercover Admin for the 3rd Party Monitoring System thats associated with Valve".

He said that my friend was reported for "hacking/scamming" 10 times, and that he needed to take away all of my friend's items in order to ensure that they were legit.​

Provide Evidence:

Proof number 1 was copy-pasted to me by my friend. Proof number 2 is me talking to said "Undercover Admin" and is in screenshots. I tried to make myself sound as ignorant as possible to gather evidence from the accused.

P.S. My chat with the accused was done with my second account, JCWJ2, as my main, JCWJ1 was being borrowed by my 8 year old brother to play TF2. I hope that's okay​

I talked to him further, and he said that if I wanted to "help" my friend, I would have to give him some items. In the trade he picked out some keys and refined and told me to trade them. I had more dialogue with this scumbag, but unfortunately I was stupid and closed the chat window after he removed me.

It's been quite a while already; how long more before an admin takes a look at this?

Bumping this, as this fellow tried impersonating a Valve staffer to a guy who was just on my trade server.

When I added this guy to find out what his deal was, he tossed a bunch of obscenities my way then blocked communications with me.

I told the guy from my server to screenshot the chat with this guy (which he did) and file a report here. I don't think he's filed a report yet, but since I found this thread, I'll tell him he doesn't need to make a new report, and to give me the screenshots of his chat so I can post them in here for him.

Here's the crude messages he tossed my way:

Seems like he's trying to impersonate SteamRep staff now.

It's been what, 9 months, and he's still trying to scam people. What a loser lol (on the same account too).

Funnily enough, the fellow on my server he was trying to scam was legitimately scared until I got him to give me Khrome's profile URL so I could look it up here. Once I showed him the SteamRep profile with 2 reports, he calmed down and most likely told him to screw off. He legitimately believed Khrome was a Valve employee until I pointed out he was impersonating a SteamRep admin.

But he's ballsy, given the obscenities he tossed my way.

Your report was accepted and the accused was banned. Feel free to report a violation via their Steam profile.

In order to do that, you have to:
1. Visit the accused's profile
2. Click "More" drop-down located at the top right of the page
3. Choose "Report Violation"
4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
5. Click "Submit Report"
