    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198106019027

    Victim profile: 76561198338570643

    What happened? Description:
While I was playing Starbound at 2:12 PM (GMT-6), someone I added through an MvM match in about late 2015, named slick, that I never talked to until today, randomly said hello and introduced me with a link to a very "informing" and detailed guide.
They attempted to make me believe that they are a Steam Community Admin through a recently made guide by a possible smurf. Shortly after; said they would ban me and deactivate my account because of a few reports from unmentioned users about a few of my items being "duped." If he is an actual admin, which I believe he isn't, then he doesn't deserve a good reputation for this kind of treatment. At first, he mentions trade banning and community locking my account. Then he mentions deleting my account, and later sends an image of a delete account request. I only wanted evidence from him, in which he gave none of. The question about why I was reported was in fact, more than impossible to answer. He addressed people I automatically assume as never met or seen, as users. If only he mentioned the users that reported me; if was familiar with any of them, then I would have given him a proper answer.

    Provide Evidence:
No trades have been made in this session, but I believe it is worth tagging this user for Fraudulent/Impersonation activity, as he could ruin everyone else's gaming experiences and spread paranoia to and from individuals and smaller communities.

    NOTE: slick sent me (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1488675378#2685871)
but I took off the hashtag (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1488675378) extension before accessing his link for safety reasons.
The guide was made by someone named "Community." with a private profile.

    [Trade Ban]
    [CS:GO Duplication] (Unlisted Video)

The first video named "Trade Ban", seems to be a clip stolen from Anomaly.

As I have been on steam since 2012-05-08 (http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198063313732), I have learned many things since my many VAC bans in 2016-07.
    1. Valve never really gave any crap about duped items.
    2. If they did they would've cracked down on it a VERY LONG time ago.

    3. Morals and Ethics: lost interest in cheating since my VAC(s) on my first account. Therefore, I don't deem "duping" as an appropriate action.
    4. Lost interest in TF2 and its "fancy" vanity kill streak and cosmetic stuff.
    5. Lots of players usually accuse me of being a "noob" for having no cosmetics, and I like to prove those kinds of people wrong, rather than being a show-off with probably a long-time-chased unusual set.
    6. I just tell people, "congrats," or, "cool," if they want to show-off their probably rich items, or when they achieve something apparently amusing to themselves.
    7. The last time I actually wanted to play TF2 everyday or once a week was over 3 months ago. I'm always "Eh" about playing it now. It's gone stale.
    8. The past 2 months, I've been interested in playing other games.
(Destiny 2, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Stardew Valley, Starbound, and Warframe) This also means that I didn't play TF2 at all, other than touching it to see if anything's new for about 10 minutes once a month.
    9. The last time I actually traded and negotiated prices with an actual person and not an auto-offer-accept bot was a few days before my VAC on my first account.

    Since I made this account (2016-10-22), I haven't been a fan of the "cosmetics/unusuals = skill" culture all that much, in fact, my 1500+ hours on this account is played with barely any cosmetics at all, other than when I'm running loadouts for jokes and memes. When I asked slick for a link to the reported items, his reply was;
    "slick (SliK)
    :
    2:24 PM
    Collector item and all taunts
    "
^I have ONLY TWO taunts (Schadenfraude and High Five) which I bought not even 20 hours into the game off the Official In-Game Mann Co. Store, with a Steam Gift Card I purchased from a game-store. The Only Collector item (Collector's Pro KS Ambassador) I had was gifted to me by my friend. Checking its history from https://backpack.tf/item/2575483365, I only see Me, my friend, and the assumed first owner of the item. This allowed me to confirm his mentioned reports to be fake.

Info about slick (Not exact, but possibly helps):
Since they set their profile to private on steam mid-conversation, I was only able to get a quick glance at their stats on their profile before-hand. All I can say is, if they do set their profile back to public by the time this report gets reviewed; their steam profile should have a Luigi SFM Artwork showcase, and his TF2 playtime should be 2500+ hours. For an extra confirmation, he should have over 1000 hours on L4D2, based off of what I can remember.

    Background Info:
I haven't traded at all except with Scrap.tf and Backpack.tf bots for cheap, common weapons and cosmetics that I didn't have in early game to pull off stupid jokes and loadouts for fun (eg. Spy cosmetic set to play along with my friends making fun of their past acquaintance). In fact, all the Scrap Metal I have are from buying Mann Up tickets with Steam Transactions and completing tours, and scrap-crafting extras of regular weapons into metal, or selling seconds of rewarded cosmetics (Y'all know how RNG is). Most the Spy Items I have were gifted by my friend, who had been inspired by his friends to play spy. He said he had made sure that they were clean, then passed them on to me, and now I refuse to give them away or even use them. I just hold them in my inventory as a form of respect and gratitude.

New steam UI makes time stamps only appear when hovered over, and it's a lot more aggravating to hover and copy line by line, not to mention their copy paste format is also wonky. With my desktop, I have my Taskbar set to auto-hide. Extremely and sincerely sorry about this mess. :(
