    Scam Report

Report Type: [Gambling] Fake gambling website
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198107193263

    Victim profile: 76561198261796176

    What happened? Description:
Attempted account compromise leading to future scams

This person added me. I checked his profile and there was a comment saying "Don't try and scam me again!". Which was later deleted by the accused. So I proceeded to talk to the person for evidence of an attempted scam of some sort.

He told me that he was "Banned on a gambling website for CS:GO and he needs my help to withdraw his coins. He would give me 500 coins in return. -- This scam has happened to me before, and it was a gambling website without a secure Hyper Text Transmission Protocol (HTTP), which means that my steam account was vulnerable to compromisation.

I understand you can't deal with hacking or phishing, however I think it would be useful to add a 'Caution' label on this person, so somebody with less experience and more items can be safer.

Evidence of Chat, Profile and Website are provided.

    Thanks,
    ~McVoid (Youcef)

@McVoid Sorry we don't apply any tags or review any reports for phishing/hacking. Please don't submit such reports here as they are completely invalid.
    Report those to Valve.
    Thanks!

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
