What happened? Description:

I (the victim) was added by this user (username was BRUH at the time of the attempted scam). The user then told me he would give me $15 for an item I was trading on TF2 Outpost. He traded me and told me that the money would be given to me after I give him the item. My Steam overlay had crashed, and I told him this. I confirmed again with him and he indeed said that the money would be transfered into my paypal account. After informing him of my knowledge of this as a scam, he denied it, then removed me.

I did not fall for this scam, nor did I send him the item he requested. However, he may continue to attempt to trick more gullible people into this.​

Do you have screenshots of the offer in question? The chat window is quite helpful in corroborating the story, but I think admins may require evidence of the trade/offer attempt to fully move forward.

I unfortunately was not able to take a screenshot of the trade window (when I attempted to, upon re-opening the game I was in, the overlay would not open). All that he said in the trade window was practically a reiteration of what he said in the chat window (you will get money when you send me the item, etc).
