    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198109754540

    Victim profile: 76561198059065962

    What happened? Description:
The accused, using the name Deshotaa, added me out of nowhere today, without leaving a comment despite me stating that it needs to be done before adding me. He said he wanted to be my friend, but I'd already checked his backpack.tf profile beforehand; permabanned for account hijacking, five negative trust ratings for attempted scams of two varieties, namely free items and hijacking threats.
I was weary, but I tried to give him a chance until he tried to learn every little detail he could about me, even trying to initiate a voicecall. I turned him down, citing discomfort and not wanting to as my reasons...and then he started to threaten to hijack me in rather excessive detail unless I either "followed him", whatever the heck that means, or after a long while of him repetitively exacerbating his threats, unless I gave him my Scorching Flames Old Guadalajara and Green Energy Antarctic Eyewear for free. Eventually I grew tired of him spamming my Steam chat with his threats (including one instance where he used what he claimed to be "a hijacked account", evidently an alt, to try and scare me further) and I blocked and removed him, but not before taking and saving a great deal of screenshots (almost thirty, which I will post).

Though he is more or less like a great deal of other scammers out there, I've never seen this much effort put into his attempt to scare the crap outta me and take my items, not that it worked. Still, I'd rather ensure awareness of this guy's scamming method is spread quickly before he can succeed against more people falling for his heavy-handed scare tactics.

    Provide Evidence:
(I literally have 15+ screenshots of chatlog and you specified UNEDITED AND UNCROPPED SCREENSHOTS, I can't Upload a File with these so...screenshots uploaded to imgur, they are. Sorry, guys.)
(P.S. I tried zipping it. Filesize is too big. 13MB. #TooManyScreenshots)

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.
