What happened? Description:

Attempted the "send knife to a friend so it is safe" scam. He added me, offering to trade my knife for 77 keys. When I agreed, he said he would add his funds into his account and asked me to "keep it safe" by transferring it to a friend. The knife is worth over 5 keys less than his opening offer, which makes it more likely it was a scam attempt. His inventory also held no value in CS items, less than $1 in value.​

I can confirm this. Still trying the old tricks. SS from profile and chatlog.

This is why I always check SteamRep before accepting adds!

Thanks to this pending report, I knew what I was probably in for, but I accepted his friend request anyway. He hasn't tried the "trusted friend" thing yet as I'm writing this, but he's stuck to the rest of the little script nearly word for word.

He just went offline abruptly, but I'll update this post if he comes back and goes in for the kill.
