    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198113044005

    Victim profile: 76561198841510130

    What happened? Description:
Fake marketplace.tf bot scam, the bot has been already flagged as a scammer by steam rep, the accused user is the owner of it, what i entered in the evidence section is almost the same text that i sent to steam support (i fixed some misspelling). I am a bit surprised how much friends and reputation the accused user has. I want to apologize that the screenshots are cropped a little bit, i used the snipping tool.

    Provide Evidence:
I'll want to submit a report on the following user because:

Captures, links are at the bottom part.

I have permission to capture the users messages
(consent.png, the image doesn't show the response because my microphone wasn't working,
and we decided that i should use the chat while he is talking trought voice chat).

I was quite supriesed when i saw the users profile,
he had a lot of friends an reputation.

It all started when i recieved a friend request from this user.
He was interested in my items,
later he told me he wanted to use discord instead
    (a popular chat application),
i agreed (i don't have a capture of that because
later when i found out that he was attempting a scam,
    he unfriended me).

After that he asked me where i got my items from,
and that i should give him a "graph and details of your items"
(capture1.png), i didn't know what he was talking
about so i let him explain.

He said something about these "graphs and details" but i didn't
get what he was saying (capture2.png),
later he started giving instructions to get these
    "graphs and details",
i followed them i registered for a website
    called marketplace.tf
(a popular team fortress 2 trading site that has an online storage for
tf2 items, bots are used for moving items in or out of this storage).

After that he instructed me to put some items in my marketplace.tf cart
(marketplace.tf is also selling items), i did, after that, i recieved a trade offer (trade.png),

    View attachment 672823

i didn't request to list my items on marketplace.tf,
or deposit my items in marketplace.tf's storage,
    i checked the official marketplace.tf's bot (bot.png)

    and the trade offer
wasn't from it, it was from another "bot" called "Marketplace.TF | Bot 3" (fakebot.png),

    View attachment 672825

later he changed the name of the fake "bot" (botwithnamechange.png) (see below),

    View attachment 672826

it was also flagged as a scammer (warning.png).

Fake Bot's profile (name was changed): https://steamcommunity.com/id/3532523523

The trade offer also contained a message with a "promo code" (promocode.png),

    View attachment 672828

i checked it if it was valid or not, it wasn't (promocodeinvalid.png).

    View attachment 672829

At this point i was suspecting a scam attempt,
i didn't want to lose my items, so i didn't wanted to risk getting scammed,
    i declined the trade (capture3.png, capture4.png).

After that i was almost certain that he was attempting a scam,
i couldn't see his in game hours, i asked about it,
this was his response: see capture5.png, capture6.png.

    I quote: "its my buisness"
Later he told me that i will generate items with marketplace.tf,
i couldn't understand what he was saying.

After that he offerd me 50 keys for free (worth around 100$) if i accept the trade
and withdraw my items from that website (capture7.png).

User Whoj contact with one of my impersonator. Account - " W0lt Official ". What? LOL.
Capture1: User W0lt Official call to user Whoj and sent him link on my backpack.tf account.
All attachments what user Whoj put here shows his chating with some user with name "W0lt Official', and some trade offers, but not with me! Obviously I am not chating and not sending user Whoj any offers. And just today 11 september 2018 I saw first time this report.
User Whoj can't recognize impersonators and make report on me.

Evidence isn't acceptable - rejected - no additional proof the accused was ever involved here.
