    Scam Report

Report Type: [Item Fraud] Misrepresenting virtual items
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198122695256

    Victim profile: 76561198138591706

    What happened? Description:
I sent this man a trade, on backpack.tf he claims to have a bot that automatically accepts trades. He does not. He added me telling me I need to find my item's graph%. He sent me 2 links to sites which seem very phishy. I clicked on one by accident and there was a steam login. I clicked that and it seemed to be a fake steam login, that would just steal your info. I have no way to prove this, however, so whatever my dudes. I know phishing scams shouldnt be reported here, but i read the reasoning behind why and it was mainly "Valve handles them better, and if someone trying to phish it ussually means they got phished" however in this case, I kinda doubt this dudes account got stolen and even if it was, he has a lot of tf2 items and seems to be a big trader.

    Provide Evidence:
I added some pictures of our chat. He somehow changed his name, and it says no known alliases on his profile which is odd

If you know phishing doesn't get reported here then don't report it here..Time can be better spent on reports we can/do review.
    Please don't do that.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.
