    What happened? Description:
    I have been friends with the accused for a few months time and somehow, out of the blue, he sent me this message at random, both in English and Russian, claiming that there is a Karambit | Crimson Web waiting for me, invested to my inventory on a shady item gambling site. Note that the site not only "gives away" items for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but Team Fortress 2 and DoTA 2 as well. Hell, he has never even played CS:GO at all.

    However, upon further investigation of the user's Steam profile, others have claimed that the user was hacked by either phishing and/or a virus. But as a precaution, I have decided to report the user if this was not the result of hacking.​

    This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
    These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

    You can report the user to Valve instead
    In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
