Here's a post my friend made: https://www.gamingmasters.org/threads/scam-attempt-artificial-value.13704/
This person bought a cheap skin on the steam market for way more than it's worth, by doing so it changed the backpack.tf price.
So in the end, a cheap skin item ends up costing way more and it can make new, inexperienced traders think that their getting an awesome deal, but they get an item that is extremely cheap​
