    Scam Report

Report Type: [Item Fraud] Quick-switch trade scam or attempt
Virtual item type involved: [DOTA2] Dota2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198126946297 ()

    Victim profile: 76561198034885976

    What happened? Description:
He added me up on steam. I accepted him thinking that he was going to talk to me about a trade posting I made in Dota 2 lounge, but when I added him, it seems that he is a bot because he immediately sent me this message (please do not click the link. Good thing the steam client warned me about the potential danger of the site which looks like a scammer site)

    Here is the message:

koker: Привет,добавь мой трейд акаунт http://steamcommunirty.com/id/dota2player89 , я тебе дам [1 ключ],а ты напиши комментарий на steammarket "+rep"
    ------------->>>>
Hello, add my trade the account http://steamcommunirty.com/id/dota2player89 , I will give you [1 key], and you write the comment on "+rep" steammarket

I have a screenshot of the actual message in case it is needed. I also blocked him through the steam client friend list. I hope he gets banned or something because it seems like he's going to attempt to scam more people.

    Provide Evidence:
I blurred out the unnecessary stuff included in the screenshot (my other browsing tabs and etc.) for privacy reasons.

The message he sent to me was right after I added him (suspiciously acts like a bot) then I blocked him for security purposes. Seems like a lot of bots have gone rampant in D2 lounge lately...

    Hello @Cor7,

There has been some changes in the policy, and as such, your report will be archived, please read here: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/notice-changes-to-investigation-policy.47952/

    What we don't research anymore:

CD Keys/Game Code/Wallet code scam reports
    Fakerep reports
    Phishing/hijacking account reports

You can, however, report the user directly to Valve using the Report Violation feature on the other user's profile. To do so:

    1. Visit the accused's profile
    2. Click More drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose Report Violation
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click Submit Report

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.

    Regardless, thanks for the report!
