What happened? Description:

I was added by the accused and he asked if I wanted to trade. When we agreed on the price of my wrench he asked if we could undergo an item check. He told me he had found a "steam official" who could do this for us. He asked me to add https://steamcommunity.com/id/Mazzers/ This guy posed as a "steam official" and told me to send my item to https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198873160881 for what he called item checking. Knowing this was a scam I proceeded to troll them. As soon as it was obvious that I was aware that they were scammers they left the chat and unfriended me.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that chat so I can't send a screenshot of the fake admin's URL. The only evidence I have is that I went to the fake admin's profile after the scam attempt using the link provided by Team Rocket and below is attached the screenshot of the profile that I blocked. Unfortunately, I know this is not enough evidence.

As for reporting the wrong profile for Team Rocket, I made the mistake of copying and pasting only id numbers of https://steamcommunity.com/id/76561198127332922- into the search bar of SteamRep which brought me to the real Team Rocket's page. When I copy and paste the whole link it comes up with the correct profile. I am very sorry for these errors.
