What happened? Description:

My friend entered a raffle for an unusual Brigade Helm with an unusual Troublemaker's Tossle Cap. He then entered again with another unusual and 8 Keys pure. The raffler stated that he would win. Later, the raffler stated he was grounded, and that he was kicked from the group by Steam Administration. He then proceeded to unfriend my friend (Though he wasn't blocked). Even though he stated that he was kicked from the group, he later was trying to sell it for 50 keys, and is still in the group. He also has an alternative account, which is private and an administrator in the group.​

The scammer set his profile to private. Before he did, he had no trade-able items in his inventory. It's likely he handed them off to an alt(s). This profile is one of his alts, the one he "sold" the group he owned to:

Also, sorry if any of this is out-of-format, I'm new to using this site and I just wanted to add some helpful information.

Just noticed he set his profile to private. I noticed the Alt Account also, and I mentioned it in my report, but I didn't post it. Thanks for that.

He is now spamming invites to his new group 'United Giveaways' in multiple groups. Invites say that you get "FREE KEYS AND UNUSUALS" for joining, but these are most likely scammed items. Also discovered a third alternative account, which is the administrator of United Giveaways. Pictures included.

Talked to HawkEye. He is denying he is CaptainAmerica/rune, and saying he was scammed "20 keys for unusual." He used the "late for school" excuse (Very similar to the one America used) and went offline, but then immediately came back online. He's posted in the group twice saying he isn't America.

According to his profile, he lives in Afghanistan. If this is true, it would be 9:05 PM at the time of this posting, making it extremely unlikely he would be heading to school at this time.

HawkEye's backpack.tf account shows that his account was created on August 15th, the same day the scam came to light. His account also has no tradable items, despite him saying he was scammed 20 keys. He also has +rep left by 'I am the new owner', the second alternative account. Photos provided. I left not one, but two of this guy's groups because of his insensate group announcement spamming which all say "go to this group now, this one turned into s***". (Don't worry about me, I did not pay him anything.) Hawkeye/Captain America/GM4Lyfe is sure trying to give our attention to this new group of his called "United Giveaways". I'm uploading the beginning and end of his string of group spams just to show how much he was spamming it. Yes, he (whose last name for Captian America said "#done") actually posted the same announcement 162 times. No variation whatsoever. It's frustrating! I do not want this dude with many faces ripping off our community anymore.

Captain America (runedeath) has been spamming in his group (and others) invites to another group (Mentioned above by [THSoW] The J-Man. Thanks) I've provided photos of that. HawkEye has also contacted me to remove mention of him being an alternative account. Photos provided also.

Just saying you put $50 into your account isn't enough to prove it. If you actually aren't him and just wait a bit, and this will probably clear up. Please be patient while this is investigated.

A fifth alternative account has been discovered, though it is possible this is just a scammer posing as a bot. Notice the group 'Test Drive Unlimited 2 (RUSSIAN)' HawkEye has also been banned from backpack.tf.

Captain America has confirmed he sold the unusuals he scammed. Photos included of the chat (Thanks to my friend for providing them.) Also, it seems as if the fifth alternative account is just a scam bot. America also seems to have made his profile public, so I've taken screenshots of his inventory and profile page. I might try to contact sweetstakes.tf and backpack.tf staff to ban him. If anyone can give me a link to contact them, that would be great.

CaptainAmerica has now started spamming announcements in his group to subscribe to a YouTube channel, which surprisingly is owned by HawkEye. It is extremely likely he is an alternative account to America. America has also attempted to sell his group, which goes against Steam TOS.

Conversation with HawkEye (Now -zGaming-) about how I should take down mention of him being an alternative account. It is possible that is not an alternative account, but again, it's also possible he is.

I discovered today that someone else has been scammed. I talked to the scammed person and his friend, and got pictures of important things. (Read below) Unfortunately, one of the images was lost, but I will be able to recover it tomorrow. For now, I have included the other image.
Story:
The scammed user got a 20 key unusual from his friend. So the scammed user was trading between Captain America. He was giving him a 20 key unusual (It is not known if this was for a raffle, or America was giving something to him) So America recommends they use a middleman, and he brings a fake one in. (Unknown what middleman was faked) The fake middleman was 'I am the new owner', who I've already covered in this report. So the user traded with the fake middleman, and they ran off with his hat. As I talked about above, I got two images so far from the scammed user and his friend: The trade history between the friend and the user, and the trade history between the user and the fake middleman. Unfortunately, the trade history between the user and the fake middleman was lost (My fault, my computer messed up), but I will most likely be able to post it here by tomorrow. For now, I've included the image of the trade history between the user and his friend. Sadly, there are no pictures of the chat history between America and the user, but they are currently contacting Steam Support to get the entire chat log. If they get it, I will post it here.

Sorry for not posting this soon enough. I've been busy with a lot of things, and collecting unique evidence such as this is proving to be more difficult. Anyways, I got the photos from the person who was scammed (Read the post above if you don't know what I am talking about) which are included in the 'Attached Files' area. Also, it seems as though HawkEye (-zGaming-) could not be an alternative account to America, and it could just be a major coincidence, though some things don't add up (Such as his account being created on the day the scam was brought into light, him saying he was scammed but not providing trade history, etc.) A major event happened today: United Raffles of America, the group owned by Captain America, was disabled by an administrator, though it was most likely due to all the spam, not because of the scams he performed.
