What happened? Description:

Alternate account of https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198309681907/, a user with previous reports for this type of impersonation scam. A friend of mine, Jibade, was offered a trade for some unusuals of his by this user, and came to me in an attempt to avert a man-in-the-middle scam. The plan was apparently that we would all be invited to a group chat and the items would be traded to me. Sounds fishy. Turns out, the scammer had invited an alternate account after changing its name and picture to my own. The trade didn't go through, but I'd still rather not have my public image used by a scammer.​

Provide Evidence:

Images, (presumably) in order:

• Account used with intent to impersonate me, shown with previous names.
• My actual account, again shown with previous names.
• Chatlogs with would-be scammer, showing that correspondence stopped shortly after I confirmed that I was the friend of the target.
• Friend giving me a link to the scammer's profile to add him, followed by providing a link to the impersonating account (at my own request).​
