The situation in which the scam took place in was strange. The victim and the scammer were in a relationship. Although I talked with the victim and they said they were catfished which in itself very unfortunate. According to the victim the scammer who at the time was their "girlfriend" asked if they could wear their hat for one round. Shortly after the victim gave the hat the scammer blocked and removed them completely.

On 3/6/2016 at about 5 pm I was added by Beardo (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198089414077/) who told me I had the scammer on my friends list. So they asked for my help and I obliged. Shortly after I added the victim and they told me what happened. Right after I decided to ask the scammer about the hat. They claimed to have bought it from a friend. When I asked how much they said "I don't remember" when I asked for proof to see how much they declined. Only to ask if I wanted to buy it. About 5 minutes later they said it was a gift. Which in itself was very fishy.

They then went on to talk about trust and such saying they have never scammed which from my view was a very blatant lie. Not too long after I told them about the victim adding me. Only want on to talk about how it was a gift since they were dating. According to the scammer they said that they had given some stuff to the victim such as their greybanns which was true. According to the scammer the victim wanted their unusual hat back after lending it but the scammer thought that just because they gave a 6 ref item they should be able to keep a 57 key unusual.

Right after the scammer only began to only say "message me when you have the keys" in response to everything. Since I was asking about the hat and saying I would buy keys marketplace.tf in order to buy it just to get more information about what happened.

So that is about it from what I know at least I think.

At time of me submitting this I do not have screenshots of the trade agreement between the victim and the scammer. The most I have are screenshots of the trade offer from the victim.​
