    What happened? Description:
    He added me out of the blue (I have no idea who the impersonator, nor the person he was impersonating was other than that he is a high tier unusual trade)


    He had his inventory private, instead, having screenshots of the inventory of the person he was impersonating. He also stated that we need to "check" our items with "Steam Officials", claiming that my unusual might be "buggy". He also said that he wants to trade 2 unusuals that are way over the value of my unusual.


    Luckily, I was browsing on scams to avoid , and he was getting much more iffy. I sent a link of his steamrep and the person he was trying to impersonate and went immediately offline. He also took a lot of time to get the names of his very own unusuals.​

    Thanks - do keep in mind that this user is already banned/tagged..there isn't any more we can do to this user. Should you come across a user like this again(check users out soon as you say hello) it is best to just report them to Valve, delete and move on.
    Biggest issue is I can't confirm you were ever friends with this exact user by SteamID - all I see is a chat box with a name and profile image. Need to verify this and you can do that with a screenshot of your friend/user activity thru a web browser - when you take this and it shows you adding the user hover your mouse pointer over the users name so it shows the popup of the profile. Make sure you open this in a web browser before doing anything rather than steam client. Take the screenshot and make sure it's Full Screen and make sure steam client URL is enabled, not edited or cropped in any way! Upload HERE…NOT imgur, NOT gyazo or any other 3rd party hosting site!
