  1. Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Fake reputation vouches
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198132754154

    Victim profile: 76561198147540181

    What happened? Description:
I am the creator of CSGORep - A cash reputation group found on the Steam Network - This morning I was checking my notifications and found a report by King Solomon - Upon adding King Solomon, I went over his report with him, also helped him with what he needed to have his steamrep report done properly. You can see that report linked below (See Ex. 1)

After going over the report, I banned Jdoe (STEAM_0:0:78693293) from my group pending his SteamRep report. I then went over his rep thread and wanted to inquire about the comments that had been posted by the 4 users I've accused above. Initially Raven and Storm were online, I stated who I was, also what I was investigating, asked for a bit of their time and some cooperation.

While speaking with Storm, he immediately jumped into game and used that as an excuse not to talk, he said that he needed some time then he would give me the screenshots I had asked for. About 10 minutes later, he then post in chat "Later! Peace! Good luck catching him!" - Immediately I took that as him no longer wanting to help, so here we are.

All 4 users are on each others friends list, also the time stamps for each post on the intial rep thread is all very close together, see below. The fact that neither user I spoke with wanted to show me trade history kinda says that neither traded with him and that it was fake reputation. If they did infact trade with him and it isnt, they can easily clear their names up here instead of being labeled as a possible scammer for Fake Reputation.

Below you'll find my chat logs, along with screenshots showing all 4 are on each others friends list, also the rep thread showing the time in which each comment was posted. I believe this user had his friends post on his rep thread so that he could ad his rep thread and build a bit of trust.

While writing this report, Zerga added me. I made him aware of the situation, also what was going to happen. He informed me that he was given 5 breakout Cases to post to Jdoe's rep thread "-Zergga-.. (Banned) Sep 29 @ 9:05am
Bought 10 keys, was first. Trusted trader/seller"

I'd like to point out, Zerga wasnt aware of what this was to influence, also that he was the only one to help me with this case. The others simply ignored me that or rudely responded thinking they were scott free in everything.

    (Ex. 1 - http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/...-counter-strike-global-offensive-items.79207/ )

    Provide Evidence:
The Evidence attached will include, The initial report filed by Jdoe regarding King Solomons post on his rep thread. (Jdoe Initial Report)

Next itll feature the rep thread itself showing the comments being close together, also the users that posted to it. (JdoeRepThread)

Below those youll then find each user who posted, also that all 4 are on each others friends list. (Easy to figure out by the names)

The chat between myself and Stooorm and also Raven. (StormChat1&2 - Ravenchat1)

Lastly, a chat with Zerga that states Jdoe paid 5 breakout cases for him to post to his rep thread stating he purchased 10 keys. Confirming in fact that it was fake reputation. (zergachat1)

Alright, folks. Let me clear this bullshit out.

Jdoe asked me to give him reputation and I did. We both traded reputation. I'm usually not a trader, but I have a lot of reputation on Lounge, because I do rep for rep. And how is that a violation? I don't really understand it, alright, I gave him reputation, he also gave me. So what? Some guy got scammed. How is that my problem? Why did he just give out his knife like that? People get scammed like that all the time. It's not my problem that the guy got scammed. I gave reputation because I received reputation. End of discussion. This report is pointless. Only a moron would give out his knife to a random guy. Good luck with this, I'm interested to see how far you'll go with this report.

I've had a couple of threads posted on Lounge, threads about me giving reputation against reputation or cases/capsules, or any trash skins. This is my Lounge profile: http://csgolounge.com/profile?id=76561198132754154

I'd like to know how is that a crime and a violation of the rules.

Excuse me sir, how am I involved into this? What have I written to be so suspicious about this? I have told you that I am in the middle of a game and what should I do? Spend you some time with a case that I am not even involved? He just asked me to give him +rep and that is all have I performed a crime? This looks pathetic.
  6. @friedburger So you posted on a cash only reputation site stating that you both traded for specific items even though that was false. Which created a false reputation for Jdoe so that he could scam someone of a knife.

@Raven 3 Please read the actual post "All 4 users are on each others friends list, also the time stamps for each post on the intial rep thread is all very close together, see below. The fact that neither user I spoke with wanted to show me trade history kinda says that neither traded with him and that it was fake reputation. If you'd like to show the staff here that you did infact "
    Raven (Banned) Sep 29 @ 7:18am
    [IMG]
Sold me 5 keys, paid him first and then he sent the keys immediately +rep"

Then you can post that info here and you can be removed from the report itself. Seeing that your friend stoooRm basically said "Good luck catching him!" "Peace!" - I figured it was safe to say you'd have the same response which I wasnt about to waste my time with.

So far one person has admitted to being paid 5 breakout cases so that he would post on Jdoe's reputation thread. (see ZergaChat1) Another user stated on my profile "
Illidan Stormrage 1 hour ago Delete
he asked me to give him rep and i did he didnt trade me anything" (see StormProfileCommentAdmittance)

So again, thats another person providing fake rep. Also its against the CSGOLounge rules to pay for reputation as you've stated and as Jdoe has done before.

You may not have directly scammed someone of their knife, however you did infact have a part in creating a fake trading persona by posting fake reputation which the seller of the knife believed. Had he not had your comments with fake transactions, the trade might not have happened. Hence why your fake rep has lead to this report.

So you want me to get trade banned because I traded reputation with someone? This is the shittiest excuse I've ever heard. It's not my fault that the guy got scammed, as I said before. Only a moron would get his $100 knife scammed, sorry for using that language, but I am really pissed off. Reporting me for this bullshit, I can't just stand like that and do nothing. I have nothing else to say here. I haven't done anything wrong. Trading reputation isn't a crime. Deal with it and send that guy some YouTube videos on how not to get scammed in CS:GO. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
  9. @Raven 3 Why would you +rep him for no point at all. ESPECIALLY in a forum that handles cash trading only. The rep that's given there is meant to be serious and to weigh in on someone for sometimes thousands of dollars. Regardless of you knowing what he was planning on doing with it, why give it to him in the first place. Nothing good could come from you two providing fake reputation for each other.

@friedburger nobody said a thing about trade banned. Also you keep stating "we traded reputation" well reputation isn't something thats traded. its something thats earned by way of trading or interacting with a person to grant said reputation.

This report stands in the fact that you're being reported for "[Rep Fraud] Fake reputation vouches" - Sorry you don't agree with it, however whether you'd like to admit it or not. The fake comments that you left in a Cash Trading Reputation group did influence someones decision on whether or not it was safe to trade with that person, ultimately resulting in the loss of his knife.
