What happened? Description:

Simple Paypal Scam from someone who was meant to be a trusted member of the TF2 community.

He lured me into thinking he had the money and when he received part of the deal he went offline.

He still has not unfriended me which is rather odd but he hasn't paid me and 30 minutes have passed so i have to take in count that he will most probably not pay, he was having sort of connection problems.​

Firstly would like to thank Jellyfish gor Linkin me to this report of mine. Anyways here's what took place.

I was planning on cashing in into tf2 so that I could start a project for the tf2 community. So apprently I went messaging my friends and asking then whether they knew anyone who was intrested in cashing out. So I messaged jelly fish and asked him why her he knew anyone who was intrested in cashing out. After some talks and enquires of asking what I was willing to buy he said that he wanted to cashout.then we worked out a few deals of what I was intrested on and how much I would pay for him and such. At first I doubted it would go well as jellyfish already has a history if scamming two people once on the vetting sweetstakes. Td which I used to moderate on and then on another case. Both of which were big scams. So I enquired om why he hasn't still appealed the ban out and his reply was that it would take at least an year to apply it and the reason was due to SR admins. Well hearing his reply i trusted him as he even was my friend and has been one for quite some long time now. So we went on with the procedures and confirmed the deals. We agreed on doing he trade bit by bit that is first he would send me half the unusuals then I would give him the full payment the he would retuen the rest back to me. So we do decided to do the trade. Suddenly fir the trade he asks me my trade offer url. I was kinda confused on why he needed it but then I will ugly gave it to him. Mins later he tells me that he had sent the offer on checking it I found that his alt through which he sent the offer was private. On enquiring about it he said that it was to avoid backpack tf bans. At that time I had lost my connection after confirming the offer( it wasn't just that time I had lost the connection if you check the chats there has been breaks due to connection issues). At that time I thought about what if those items were scammed stuff from.some inno cent person. I mean on thinking about I I realize that jelly fish was cleaned many a times. Most of the time he would appear with something or the nothing once he came in with a golden panand bet and lost it but recently he became inactive on the current existing betting sites so I realize that it wouldn't be form any of his winsm so I decided to allow him to go ahead and make any steam report against me then I would present the issue over here. If he feels that he is right and that the stuff ehich he gave me are truly his then he should present before everyone the sources form where he got the suiff. And I'd be much glad to rack it back to the orginal owners and confirm whether it's his through some trade or something. But if he fails to proove it ill just return the items to the orginal owners.
Yeah so let him show all the evidences of the orgin of his items if it's his then ill either continue the trade or give his stuff back as he wishes otherwise not

You are pretty much explaining what can be read in the screenshots and giving me some random bullshit excuse because you don't want to pay me?

Saying that i have to prove i got the items trading so you can pay me or you will give them back to their owner.

You know that is scamming right?

We had an agreement which you did not respect, i even told you in chat that i'd be happy to wait 24 hours and see if you'd send the payment or the unusulas.
But it seems you want to play the White Hat card and try to get more than what you can.

I still have my screenshots and i don't think you know that SR does not accept external links for them.

In any case, you still have time to pay up what you have to or give back the unusuals.

Forgot to say that i paid for the Golden Pan.

You are trying to make me look worst so you can look like somewhat of a bad Robin Hood.

Just because i had a storage account like many it doesn't mean i stole items.
But you did steal from me and i got proof of it.

So now you give back, pay me or you will get banned.

Well if you didn't steal why do you hesitate this much to show the evidence of those items. What's the matter pal?

The matter is that it was 7:40 in the morning and i was and still am from my phone, i won't have access to my computer for a while anyways.

But you know, not everyone is as lucky as you to have parents that pay for everything.
Us normal people have jobs to deal with.

In any case, i'd like some admin input on this.

So since Beware has been pointing fingers and s✿✿✿ to try and hide the fact he scammed, i'll have to do his job for him and actually provide some evidence of everything.


1- The unusual from today/yesterday has been moved to https://tf2bet.com/ bot.

As you can see, he moved the unusual to a tf2 gambling site and probably withdrew lower tier items which can be sold easier than a 450 keys unusual.
The private profile he put in himself which he still in as of this post, was done to not have any records on things he put his hands on and since he does not own an alt or a storage account he will most probably stay private till he owns one or till he can find a friend he can trust where he can drop all his unusuals.

The excuse of him trying to prove that the unusuals were scammed was a way to make himself look better without showing what he was actually doing, which was laundering the unusuals he scammed to get newer ones.
AS the trade shows the 2 unusuals are the same, and if there is need of more evidence i'll try and find more.

In conclusion, Beware wanted to get away scamming someone who is marked so he could launder the unusuals and play it safe.
