    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] Steam Wallet fraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198139769238 ()

    Victim profile: 76561198081868184

    What happened? Description:
Greennathan14 added me on Steam from nowhere, saying he was offering lots of real money for TF2 and CS:GO items. I checked his profile and e has 1 hour into TF2 and 10 into CS:GO. He wasn't from Outpost or Backpack, I believe he got to me through one of my Steam friends, End_Game_Endeavor/Cystic_Cynic, who is a livestreamer I watch every day. he has over 400 friends I believe, so it' s a perfect place for a scammer to find people.

I traded him the following items:
    3x Fortified Compound
    The Black Watch
Hat of Cards paint. A Deep Commitment to Purple
Merc's Muffler paint. Color No. ###-###-###
    Polar Pullover paint. Team Spirit
    Fast Learner
    Strange Liberty Launcher
Strange Rust Botkiller Sniper Rifle Mk. I

He promised me $25 via Steam Vallet, using the following code:
    CNFQ2 6R8LK PK8WK

Upon using the code, I discovered it had already been used.
I have already reported this person to Valve, but knowing them they probably won't do anything about it. I wanted to report it to you so that other people trading with this person don't make the same mistake. I don't think I'll get those items back anytime soon though... Which is really unfortunate for me because I've been saving up for a long time to get an unusual but just like that half my backpack value is gone. I hope Valve cares enough about it's users...

    Provide Evidence:
I couldn't get a screenshot of the trade, but here is a small excerpt from our trade conversation. Here is a link to his backpack, including all the items I traded him which are not yet in his backpack:

    Hello @Fedora [OO],

There has been some changes in the policy, and as such, your report will be archived, please read here: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/notice-changes-to-investigation-policy.47952/

    What we don't research anymore:

CD Keys/Game Code/Wallet code scam reports
    Fakerep reports
    Phishing/hijacking account reports

You can, however, report the user directly to Valve using the Report Violation feature on the other user's profile. To do so:

    1. Visit the accused's profile
    2. Click More drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose Report Violation
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click Submit Report

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.

    Regardless, thanks for the report!
