What happened? Description:

I want to make it clear that this person did not scam me. They quite clearly ATTEMPTED to scam me. So many things were fishy about this guy. First fishy sign- I posted on /r/SteamGameSwap asking for KOTK for $6.50, and this guy PM'd me. He didn't comment first, he straight up pm's me. red flag 1. Second, I checked his steam rep to see if he was a scammer, and not to my surprise at all, he already had 1 report. Red flag 2. I proceeded to talk to him on steam and he then told me he didn't actually have paypal, he wanted a game instead, which was red flag 3 as i clearly stated i was paying paypal for the game, He then said he only wanted a game worth $4.99. Red flag 4 as the patypal i was offering was higher, so i dont see why he would take less for it. This is where it gets exciting. I say he has to go first as he has no previous trades where i have multiple. He has 1 karma on reddit, which is red flag 5. He then says he will give me 1 other game, if i then give the game he wants then he will give kotk. I'd say this is a pretty damn big red flag so i will say this is my 8th red flag. I decline saying I want KOTK. He then offers 2 games if i give the game he wants after then he will give me kotk. um no mate, I want kotk not anything else. I ask him why he wont just give me kotk first and he says its because the games are higher value. I ask what the games and they are two games that are already flooded in peoples inventories (they are worth literally nothing). I finally ask if he will give kotk first or not and he says no. This guy is quite clearly a scammer. No solid proof but I am giving you reason to avoid trading with him. Avoid at all costs. The screenshots aren't really compelling evidence, but it was proof that he was trying to manipulate the trade i was offering, and please take into account the other factors i wrote about above before even thinking about trading with this guy.​
