What happened? Description:

added me wanting to exchange my unusual starstorm brimmed bandito for items of my choosing. i asked for their galactic codex universal translator, they also added a strange pro killstreak australium ambassador. we agreed, and said that i couldn't trade until i had my phone since i had left it at home (which i did). they asked multiple times over several hours if i was home yet, which was suspicious.

after i got home and told them i had my authenticator, i asked them to confirm the offer so i could resend the trade with my bandito. however, they mentioned if i knew about opskins. i knew where this was going, so i pretended to be interested. they told me i needed to 'verify' my items on opskins so he knew they were resellable. i told him i just wanted the items up front for easy use, but he still pressed on.

since i could check by myself, i logged onto opskins with my own account, added my unusual onto it, and it autopriced it at $23.41 at a 7-day average. i screenshotted it, sent it to him, but he still wanted to verify it and 'not with other people's items', despite the fact i assured him it was mine. since he probably knew i wasn't fooled, he just told me that he 'didn't want items that i cannot assure i can sell on the opskins', even with valid proof from the site itself. i agreed to cancel the offer, and he told me to delete him and went offline.​

there were no trades -- this is because i didn't actually agree to trading to any sort of opskins bot, nor did i receive any trade offer, which is usual with these types of scams.

the image of the trade they kept sending me. note how their inventory is private -- this means i can't counter-offer them back, both of which are a large red flag.
