What happened? Description:

Claimes he has a "rare pyro tail" worth 36.99 ref, and wanted 2 keys for it. Little did I know, it was a scam attempt, and the "rare pyro tail" was merely a "Tail From the Crypt," worth .22 ref. I am accusing this individual of a scam attempt. I know him/her from a friend.​

I understand that backpack.tf is just a guide, and items have no defined value, but this behavior is similar to that of a shark's.

I don't see a scam here, mainly because of the reason you stated. If he values it at 2 keys, he is perfectly welcome to sell it at whatever price he wishes.

I'm calling bullshit here.
He claims it's a "rare pyro tail," however, there are 105,092 in existence.

Looking back, I was really condescending in the chat log with that guy. :/
