What happened? Description:

The scammer offered to buy my friends (I Am Squrral's) Butterfly Urban Masked CS:GO Knife for 50 keys, and requested that I Am Squirral use a middleman. I Am Squrral asked me to be that middleman, and I accepted. I Am Squrral then traded me the knife. I sent a friend request to the scammer "eNvy". Shortly after I had a steam trade offer that requested the knife in return for nothing. The scammer then offered me a trade through steam chat. I accepted to play along and catch him committing the scam attempt. The scammer then messaged me about asking for the knife back. Quote from scammer: "I Am Squrralᅚ: Can I have it back since the guy blocked me and was a idiot?".

He was impersonating the real I Am Squrral and attempted to fool me into thinking he was the real person. This is a common scam attempt I have seen several times.​
