What happened? Description:

Item verification scam, talked about "unsafe items" and wanted to verify mine. Originally offered a unusual worth much more than mine, then settled on using pure. User also sent me a link to their profile where I saw plenty of unusuals. Obiously if they where that good at unusual trading they would know the price of mine or how to check it, but they had no clue. Making me suspect a trade scam. I then checked their steamrep to see they have been reported before. I decided to play along for more info/evidence to report him myself. I do not know how they found me, I'm guessing they scour steam inventories looking for newer/unfamiliar traders to scam. Otherwise they randomly sent me a friend request.​

Provide Evidence:

User already has a bad steam rep for item verification scams. User also offered a highly expensive unusual for my cheap one with the idea of either tricking me into the trade, or a backup in case they get caught and they might have been able to report me for scam instead. User also unfriended me after I told them about the scam with the link, instead of saying anything to confirm they made a mistake or are just cautious.​
