    Accused profile: 76561198161018925

    Victim profile: 76561197987815569

    What happened? Description:
    The accused added me and proposed to trade one of his items for my CSGO knife, if I would accept doing "Item verification" with a "Steam admin," first, to ensure my knife wasn't stolen/hacked.

    During the chat the accused said he was contacting Steam Support; and that they indicated a "Steam admin" to verify my knife. The accused then sent me a link to this profile: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198136081850 , which is the profile of a marked scammer, and told me he was a "Steam admin."

    Since there are no such things as "item verification," "Steam admins," and "glitched/hacked items," there is no doubt this was a scam attempt.​
