The scammer first contacted me saying they were looking for people to advertise for a gambling website, with the promise of one guaranteed win a week. I went along with it to see if they were a scammer, but only later did I see through it. They proved they could control who won, because I could choose someone and they would win, no matter the chance. then, I was sent to the website, logged in, traded my items, 'won' 2 rounds, after which I was told I could receive my winnings. Unfortunately for me, the website 'bot' had an error and needed confirmation to prevent hackers from withdrawing, at the cost of 10% my winnings. at this point, He already had 20$~ worth of my items in the 'bot'.

Looking back on it, I realized that he site itself is completely fake, with the players, items and chat all fabricated. Often watching the chat you can see that there are repeats in the same phrase many times over, and the same people ceaselessly play, never running out of skins and unusuals. It is a very smart scam, and I wish I hadn't fallen for it, but he is definitely running a clever scam.

I lost the chat history to take screenshots of after an unfriend and me stupidly shutting down steam to update it. The chat history is below, however I know screenshots are required to validate it. Sorry, it's the best I have :/ . Later on I get a bit snarky because I was a little mad then, but really what's 20$?​
