What happened? Description:

This scammer had impersonated a high level CSGO trader by taking his name, profile picture, and making his profile level visually similar to that of mine.

He sent me a trade offer link that was of the person he was impersonating, and claimed those were his items.

I had proposed a trade to him, but shortly after he kept demanding that I use a "promo code" for a gambling website, and irrationally kept pushing that I use it even after I explicitly stated no such thing would happen. I acted ignorant to expose the scammer for all he is.

After failing to convince me, he sent me a link to his fake gambling website (I assume, of course I didn't click on it), and shortly after I refused to do so, he removed me. This is yet another example of a classic impersonation scam.​
