    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198193557528

    Victim profile: 76561198271592761

    What happened? Description:
I got a comment on my profile stating that he wants to downgrade his "high tier" skins.
I instantly knew he would try to scam me, but i sent him a friend request just to make sure that he is scamming and then report him to make sure other people won't fall for him that easily.
His Custom ID made me wonder, since he wrote oficial instead of official. So I corrected the mistake and got to a profile with the same name, but a real inventory. So i also know he was impersonating somebody (https://steamcommunity.com/id/VSNofficial/)

So we started a conversation and he offered me a M9-Doppler for my Gut-Knife|Rust Coat. But he wanted to check the prices on a few different sites, all copies of well known trading sites with a slightly different URL. All of his sites did either not work or gave me a virus or chrome alert. We then just talked a bit, until i was tired.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.
