What happened? Description:

(I sadly forgot I hadn't enabled time stamps on this computer, hopefully it doesn't come as too much of a hindrance)

While attempting to sell my Miami Nights Hive Minder, I came across an add by the accused, Kiev, whom I'm assuming came from my TF2 or BP.tf ads.

The gist of the scam is that Kiev added me directly and agreed to my buy out (he was off by 0.5 keys but it was fine for me), under one condition: I post my unusual on OPSkins to see if it was "marketable or not." [See faux1]

Having knowledge of OPskins related scams, red flags were automatically set off. However, with his/her steamrep being unmarked I decided to test the waters and follow his instructions [faux1-faux3]. I set up my OPskins account as I have never used the service before, avoiding their deposit feature out of paranoia, and listed my unusual for the requested 99,999.00$. After he asked me to quote "go back to your steam and check if you recieve opskins notification accept it and confirm to your mobile and go back to opskins site." [faux4] Of course, before accepting the trade I checked the so-called bot's profile. [faux5]

Here I found that while it's description claims it is in the official OPSkins bots group, the actual group it is in is run by a trade-banned, private profile user. [faux6] As it turns out, this user is a marked scammer:

Not only that, but the steam group contains several threads of people accusing the very group of scamming them. [faux7]

After this, I confronted Kiev and he referred to me as a "troller." I attempted to show him the bot's profile but he refused, as I made the mistake of pasting a link to the faux bot's profile rather than posting it's ID and asking him to review it. Soon after, he unfriended me.

Hopefully the details and information I provided was adequate to bring this scammer to justice. Please let me know if I must add anything and I'll do whatever I must.​
