    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] Steam Wallet fraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198194953791

    Victim profile: 76561198170308729

    What happened? Description:
This person scammed me almost 2 years ago for pretty much all of my good CSGO skins that I had. At the time i was a gullible little kid that didn't even know such things could happen. So, I met this guy on a community server and he asked me if I was willing to trade all my items for some steam gift cards. I went on to say sure why not, and we added each other. I did this because I wanted to restart my "dream inventory" so it would look way nicer, since I had made some mistakes on what CSGO skins I bought. I then proceeded to ask him why he needs the skins, and why can't he just buy then off the steam market. He told me that buying then off the market is to much of a hassle and he wanted to gamble with then so he didn't care what the skins were anyways. I thought that this was pretty reasonable considering that you would need to go buy stuff off the steam market one by one when you could just trade and pay for it all at once. I then started to add the price of every single skin that he wanted to trade to make sure that it fitted the amount he was willing to pay for them. I added all of them them up and I was happy with the price he wanted to pay for them. At this point I was thinking whether or not to trust him or not. I asked him to show me some sort of proof that he was legit. He told me to add him on Skype so I did. He called me and added his friend to the chat. His buddy began to tell me that guy is legit and won't scam me because he has traded with him in the past and has not been scammed. At this point I was still a bit concerned about if I should do the trade or not. I checked his profile and he had a decent amount of "+rep." Then I checked his "Info Box" and it listed multiple reasons to why he would be a reputable trader. It was obvious to me that he had spent a lot of time setting up this profile and I just thought, "Why would anyone set all this up just for a scam?" I thought about it for a little bit more and decided to trade him almost all my skins first. I traded everything but my AWP Redline and he said if you trade it to me I will give you $20 more. So I did, and this was a very bad idea. He ended the Skype call and unfriended me ASAP. At this point, I knew what had happened. I had been scammed.

Do keep in mind that this user is already banned/tagged..there isn't any more we can do to this user. Should you come across a user like this again(check users out BEFORE you accept friend request) it is best to just report them to Valve, delete and move on.
You however have no evidence proving any scam here so report is invalid. We don't accept anything over skype - NEVER discuss steam trading over anything but steam chat.
Not to mention something that happened 2 years ago- clearly without evidence it wasn't something you could just dig up and report.
