    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198198840471

    Victim profile: 76561198188520733

    What happened? Description:
Some nobody trying to scam stuff off of me was impersonating another player who possibly didn't know someone was pretending to be him.

    Provide Evidence:
So I'm up late trying to watch some videos when I get added by the scammer. I figured it was probably another trader, so I added him, and turns out, he has this grand prospect to acquire a Lore Karambit for a list of my most expensive things in my inventory. If that doesn't already ring scam bells, I don't know what will, anyways, so he goes and claims he is on his "negotiation" account and he would apparently give me the knife once I gave him the items. Luckily before hand, I'd already smelt the air, and I looked at his profile before I added him. He had a inventory linked in there, and it led to a completely different account, and I noticed some of the comments saying that someone was impersonating him. So for the most part, I kept playing aloof and I got him to talk a bit more. At this point, I decided to blow the cover and bluff him into logging in onto his main, or making his inventory public. It went as expected, he ran for it. The streaming bit was a lie, I'm no streamer, but I most certainly took screencaps of the conversation.

All in all, just a textbook case of a scam that fails and I do pray you do something about him. Last thing we need is for someone to actually get tricked, and heaven forbids he has already tricked someone. I really hope you do something about him, this is completely unacceptable in my opinion. thank you, and have a good night.

Only reason I'm accepting is because YOU are the victim in the case or the one they link to otherwise wouldn't take it without some more intent to scam or contact.
