    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198256884944

    Victim profile: 76561198086272624

    What happened? Description:
I was added by this person today and he had requested that I play for him in a faceit tournament, with a 500$ prize pool. I agreed to the conditions and he had invited me to the server where the preposed "game" was going to be played. Before I got onto the server a .zip file was being downloaded, which in turn got me suspicious. As soon as I got on the server it was only me and him with the constant red chat message telling me to install the "Esl client." The scammer then directs me to the csgo folder with the Esl.zip folder. I open the zip, and the file sitting in the zip is esl.exe. After 10 seconds of research I found that this was on obvious scam attempt and tell him to screw off, but not after trolling him a little bit. After I tell him I was joking he sends me a suspicious site link to the so-called "tournament site." I looked up the site on scamadviser and red flags showed up all over. At this point I told him to really screw off and he as usual unfriended me.
