    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198258857703

    Victim profile: 76561198043801878

    What happened? Description:
Curiosity attempted to scam me out of an "Unusual headless horseman's cutter", so I did not lose an item to him, but I still feel the need to bring attention to this. The guy added me out of nowhere requesting for my item offering any unusual in his backpack, instantly became very skeptical of this as the thing was only worth 3.6 keys and he was offering some unusuals far more costly than this for it. (That he was only willing to show via Screen Share on Discord.) And asked me to deposit the item onto OPSkins for verification.

On Discord he offered to 'teach me' how to use the site to 'verify' the item's sale history or something like that, while I googled to confirm what he meant by this a Reddit post describing the scam came up what he probably was gonna ask me to share my screen during this if it got to that point, which according to Reddit, has been done to grab a security code one could use to withdraw the item from any account or use an alt account impersonating an OPSkin bot to send a trade offer for it. Not sure on the full gist but I believe I read enough.

At the time I did not know about Steamrep's report guidelines since I only casually used it before trades without looking into the forums, so chat screenshots are unfortunately cropped but after he went quiet I discovered he was impersonating another user
