What happened? Description:

Basically, what happened was this guy added me on his alternate account: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Wixiii . He added after I put my Butterfly Knife Urban Masked up for sale on the steam market for $150 CAD. He sent me a friend request and asked If he could buy my knife for $95 USD on PayPal (Roughly $140 CAD). I noticed that his alternate account was steam rep banned for a "Paypal Scam". He realised that I knew about that his steam rep ban, and he said bought the alternate account 6-7 years ago not knowing that the account was steam rep banned. This definitely raised a lot of suspicion at the time that made me not want to do the trade with him. After I asked him about the steam rep ban, we went into a discord call to discuss things further, and this is where he proved to me he was reputable. Also, I saved all screenshots of my discord messages with him/paypal/trade offer screenshot.

There was another steam rep report talking about this guy which got him banned. Here it is https://forums.steamrep.com/threads...counter-strike-global-offensive-items.184166/ . After that point I asked him to trade on his main steam account. https://steamcommunity.com/id/baliauri . He agreed and we started to trade on that account. We both were screen sharing on discord, and he had my Paypal link open with the $95 USD ready to trade once he got the notification of my trade on his steam. After I sent him my knife, and he got the the notification for it, he immediately left without sending me any money. I have a Paypal screenshot of my account with his transaction missing.

I asked my friend dank: https://steamcommunity.com/id/dank- to help me out with this trade. The scammer added me on discord as a friend and said he was going to do a screen share with the two of us. My friend Dank is a known trader in CSGO and was in the Discord call with me and the scammer watching just to make sure everything goes well. I asked my friend Dank if this was a reasonable trade to do, and he said that it was fine because during the screen share, the scammer showed us both sufficient evidence that made him seem like a trustworthy trader.

WE BOTH agreed on the $95 USD price on discord call, but I have screenshots of him asking to pay $95 for my knife on discord messages, which are all included in the screenshots.

In addition, after I accepted the trade, he decided to block me on both of his steam accounts and his discord. I also have screenshots proving that I was blocked by him on steam.

This user does these sorts of scams on multiple accounts and tries to fool people into thinking he is a legit trader, when in reality he is not. Please, do not trade with him by any means because he will scam you.


I do not expect my items back but if i can prevent more scams however few it might be, i´ll take it.​

Provide Evidence:

Most of the screenshots are from discord. Most of the trade was on discord and was on voice. I did not record the call with him which was stupid of me. I have many screenshots of discord messages.

This scam went on many days; I did not keep steam open for the few days that this scam went on. So, I do not have any steam messages. But we didn't even talk a lot on steam. I took a screenshot of my Paypal which says that I did not get any money from him that he was supposed to give me.

I took a screenshot of the trade offer that we both accepted for my knife. I hovered over his name to make sure that it is the scammer. He sent me his discord on steam while we were talking. I do not have the screenshot of him linking me his discord on steam.
