What happened? Description:

My friend wanted to make an item to money transaction with the scammer
I was called in as a middleman and we were all inside a discord call
The scammer told my friend to send a trade offer of his Falchion Knife Doppler, together with his dota 2 items worth of the value of his knife to me as an assurance for him. He told us to unfriend one another and to share our discord screen to prevent any cheating of anyway from our side.

I sent my trade offer link to my friend and he only clicked the trade offer link which i had sent, but the scammer managed to get my friend to send the items to his impersonation account instead, even though my friend has never clicked a single trade offer link from him. For some reason my friend received 4 trade offers
The items went into the impersonation account when my friend specifically clicked on my trade link

My friend confirmed the trade offer to me on his phone, the trade offer cancelled and went into his impersonation account instead
